Last updated 4 October 2026 · HSR Stay neighbourhood guides

The HSR Layout BDA Complex is the Bangalore Development Authority's shopping and civic complex on 14th Main Road in Sector 6 of HSR Layout, Bengaluru 560102, beside the McDonald's circle. The nearest metro station site, HSR Layout on the future Blue Line, is about 0.8 km on foot; the nearest station open today, Bommanahalli on the Yellow Line, is about 1.8 km.

A redevelopment is planned. The BDA leased the complex land to M-FAR Developers in 2023-24 to replace the existing building with a new shopping facility of two basements, a ground floor and eight floors. In June 2026 the existing complex was still standing while work began along its edges (Deccan Herald, 1 June 2026). Shops inside may move or close, so check before you make a special trip.

Where is the HSR BDA Complex?

The complex fills a block on 14th Main Road in Sector 6, written as BDA Complex, 14th Main Rd, Sector 6, HSR Layout, Bengaluru 560102. Its south-east corner sits beside the McDonald's circle, where 14th Main Road meets 17th Cross Road. Do not confuse it with the bus stops on the Outer Ring Road that are also named HSR Layout BDA Complex: they are about 0.4 km north in a straight line, or 0.6 km on foot.

Is the HSR BDA Complex being redeveloped?

Yes, under a public-private partnership. In 2023-24 the BDA leased 19,720 m² of land where the complex stands to M-FAR Developers, a Bengaluru real estate and construction company, and authorised a building of 49,300 m² with two basements, a ground floor and eight floors. The firm pays the BDA ₹9.31 crore a year on a 30-year lease that can be extended by a further 30 years. The project involves razing the existing building and putting up a new shopping facility (Deccan Herald, 1 June 2026).

In late May 2026 the Greater Bengaluru Authority sought objections to cutting 184 trees on the site, and Deccan Herald reported construction along the edges, including about a dozen shops being built near the compound wall. On 7 June 2026 the BDA withdrew the proposal to cut the 184 trees after public opposition (Udayavani). Residents' groups had objected to the plan since 2024, saying there had been no public consultation (Citizen Matters). We found no confirmed date for when the existing building will close.

How far is the BDA Complex from each HSR Layout sector?

The complex is in Sector 6, by OpenStreetMap's sector boundaries. Measured in a straight line from each sector's centre, Sector 4 and Sector 7 are closest, at about 0.5 km.
